Tracking Alzheimer’s with 3-D Imaging
Researchers at UCLA are using three-dimensional inaging to track the way Alzheimer’s disease spreads throughout the portion of the brain known as the hippocampus. This is the area connected with memory.
A conclusion is that with this technique it may be possible to follow the progression of Alzheimer’s in the brain of patients. Also doctors will be able to better evaluate how effective specific drugs are for treating this condition.
