Alzheimer’s…from the Victim’s Viewpoint
When we know what the Alzheimer’s victim is feeling and thinking, it becomes much easier to care for that person. I only wish I’d known more about Alzheimer’s when my aunt and mother first became afflicted. As I read and researched, I was better able to know what was going on in Mother’s world and better able to care for her.
Unfortunately there isn’t too much written from the Alzheimer’s patient’s viewpoint. But when we come across their stories, it helps us to understand.
Richard Taylor’s articles, written from the Alzheimer’s victim’s perspective, appear in Alzheimer’s Daily News (www.alznews.org) and in their archives. These articles give us greater insight into his world and that of other’s afflicted with Alzheimer’s.
